STUDIO ALBUMS AND SINGLES

Eclectia

Chris Webbe

This is a songwriter album containing a wide variety of styles with an eclectic group of subjects including protest songs, humour, nonsense, love life and politics.

This album "Eclectia" is a part of a triple release called "The Chris Webbe Song Book" It includes an acoustic version of "Suitable Lies" which deals with domestic violence and appeared on the Summernats Sweaty Palms release in 1992 as well as others dealing in subjects from the serious to the sublime. I have reduced the fight between the left and the right to a game of tennis and threw in a tune about cats. There is even a song dedicated to Gimley from Lord Of The Rings. You can find the lyrics at www.chriswebbe.com Best taken with a glass of wine on the deck.

Folkin' Blues

Chris Webbe

Here are some rocking acoustic, country blues tunes about life and love on and off the road around Australia

This is a part of a triple release called the "Chris Webbe Song Book". I didn't start out to make it autobiographical but as I listened back to the finished result I couldn't help but go back to many of the places and times that inspired this album. Its more acoustic oriented than previous releases but with just as much energy and drive as the early Sweaty Palms tunes. You'll find a few laughs in there as well as some shared memories I hope. The other two titles in the triple release are Eclectia and The Celestial Project which are all very different in nature and content. This is the one that will go well with a few beers and a bourbon or two.

The Celestial Project

Chris Webbe

Here are some musical, metaphysical meanderings exploring culture, religion and the soul.

This album "The Celestial Project" is a one of three from the "Chris Webbe Song Book" I generally don't do many of these tunes live. They explore culture, religion and their relationship to spirit and what ever you may believe God to be if you believe there is a supreme creator or not. I believe there are universal clues and truths that are simply reflected in different ways by us humans and our many different religions, religion being that part of a culture that deals with the God question and universal morality. Some things seem to be hidden from us to make this time on earth more dynamic but I believe it is OK to make some notes along the way. You can find the lyrics and more information at www.chriswebbe.com Suggested mood enhancement something exotic or stone cold sober. I would recommend headphones for some of the synth pieces.
